Single Sign-On (SSO) is a prominent authentication solution that ensures security while making it easy for users to access applications. With the ability for users to login once and have access to a number of applications, SSO lessens password exhaustion, decreases security threats from credentials, and streamlines IT efficiency. Organizations derive advantage through centralized access management, streamlined onboarding, and improved regulatory compliance. SSO, however, offers security threats if not adequately secured, with one breached credential granting wide access. To counter these threats, companies must impose Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), incorporate context-aware authentication, and use real-time security monitoring to effectively detect and block unauthorized access.
