• Just continuing a discussion from a few days ago with someone who registered and subscribed to a single contract with MinerX. Our conversation highlighted the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone and avoiding a lackadaisical attitude.

    I've always strived to learn from every situation I've encountered and share those lessons with others. Recently, I witnessed regret on this person's face as he compared his progress to his friend's success in the MinerX Bitcoin Mining Program. Interestingly, the friend had only $850 and borrowed $150 (from him) to get started, while this individual, who had promised to start soon, intentionally delayed for almost 40 days.

    When I inquired about the reason for the delay, he cited past losses in various programs, including the crypto industry. Instead of sympathizing, I encouraged him to share some of these projects and then applied my 5Ps theory. Surprisingly, all of the projects and programs he's been involved in came out negative using the 5Ps.

    After an extensive discussion, he acknowledged that his problems stemmed from lack of knowledge, refusal to learn from past mistakes, and failure to use those lessons to improve on future endeavors. This realization emerged when he compared his bitcoin mining progress to his friend's, who had started 40 days earlier. Unfortunately, the friend had only been introduced to the program through him; the friend was merely a tag along who took advantage of the opportunity.

    As I always say, failure isn't failure until you refuse to learn from it and leverage those lessons as a stepping stone towards success. True failure lies in refusing to learn and stagnating in the process.

    Ironically, as I write this, he just referred a friend who's subscribing to a shared contract. He was inspired and impressed by my target of 21 BTC through MinerX. For him, lost days are irretrievable, and lost profit was primarily due to a lack of knowledge – a result of self-induced ignorance.

    Life is a teacher, and we continue to learn. When you need to act - Act!

    TOPIC: VERY EASY PRAYERS II

    MEMORISE:
    “Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.” - (2 Samuel 7:22)

    READ: PSALM 100:1-5 (KJV)

    1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

    2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

    3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

    4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

    5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

    MESSAGE:

    Yesterday, I taught about praise and worship being in the category of very easy prayers and the fact that even little children can praise God. Today, I will discuss God’s reaction to very easy prayers.

    The first thing you must know about this category of prayers is that God is looking for people that pray this way. Students seek knowledge, politicians seek power, businessmen seek profit, but God seeks worshippers. He is constantly searching for people that will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). When He finds such people, He is so happy that He gives them blessings and miracles that they did not even ask for. Psalm 67:5-6 says:

    Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

    When we had just begun to hold the Holy Ghost Service at Redemption City, I was fasting and praying towards the programme one day when God said, “Don’t pray, just praise Me.” I did that, and the way He responded amazed me. On the first night of the Holy Ghost Service, He healed 14,000 people. We were few then, so that was almost everyone in attendance! After the programme, I was in my prayer room, thanking Him because I had not seen such before. Then, He told me to praise Him more and that He would do more the next day. I did not understand what He was saying because almost everyone had been healed on the first day. What I did not know was that the people who had gotten their healing went to tell their friends, and more people came the following day. On that day, 16,000 people were healed! I became frightened. Imagine having a congregation of 15,000 people, and by the next day, it had grown to 30,000! Praising and worshipping God causes Him to do frightening miracles.

    A few years ago, during a wedding ceremony in a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, the groom suddenly fell and died while signing the marriage register. All the pastors gathered and prayed all the prayers they knew, yet the young man’s corpse grew colder. Then, someone said that they should all stop praying and just praise God. Not long after they started doing that, the groom rose from the dead.

    Beloved, the easiest route to getting God to pay attention to you is through praise and worship. Do it continuously.

    ACTION POINT:
    Just like you did yesterday, spend the rest of today praising God. Don't ask for anything; just praise Him all day long.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: MATTHEW 7-9

    AUTHOR PASTOR E A ADEBOYE

    HYMNAL: 17 - PRAISE MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVENS

    1 Praise, my soul, the King of heaven;
    to his feet your tribute bring.
    Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
    evermore his praises sing.
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Praise the everlasting King!

    2 Praise him for his grace and favor
    to his people in distress.
    Praise him, still the same as ever,
    slow to chide, and swift to bless.
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Glorious in his faithfulness!

    3 Fatherlike he tends and spares us;
    well our feeble frame he knows.
    In his hand he gently bears us,
    rescues us from all our foes.
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Widely yet his mercy flows!

    4 Angels, help us to adore him;
    you behold him face to face.
    Sun and moon, bow down before him,
    dwellers all in time and space.
    Alleluia, alleluia!
    Praise with us the God of grace!

  • The Haastrup Story

    Oba Fredrick Kumokun Adedeji Haastrup, Ajimoko 1, was the 34th Oba of Ijesha land. He was from the Bilaro royal families of Ilesha.

    History has it that he was captured by the Ilorins at the age of 14 c.1820s-30s and was sold into Slavery, He was transferred from one slave market to another, finally reaching the coast where he was put on a slave ship chained to other slaves, fortunately, the ship was intercepted by the British Man O' war marines who diverted the slave ship to Sierra Leone.

    In Sierra Leone, the young Kumokun met a CMS missionary by name Niels Christian Haastrup, who took a liking in him, Kumokun became his ward and was later Baptized taking the name Fredrick Haastrup. After nearly three decades, he returned home first arriving in Lagos and later in Ijeṣaland to re-establish contact with his Ijeṣa royalty.

    In Lagos, he acquired large tracts of property which became known as Igbó Obį Haastrup, contracted to the present day Igbobį, at Ibeju Lekki where he cultivated Kola-nuts on a commercial scale. His business interests meant he often took ship up and down the waterways trading in dry fish and other commodities. On one of these journeys, he was instrumental in steering the vessel to safety. He described himself as steering the ship in the manner of a caucasian: Ajimọkọ bi oyinbo.

    He became popular in Ijéṣaland during the Kiriji wars when he was a member of the Ekiti parapo solidarity group in Lagos. The organization supplied arms to Ijeṣa warriors who were at war with Ibadan. He was later pivotal in advising the Owá (King) during peace negotiations with the British and Ibadan that brokered the end of hostilities.

    In April 1896, when he was well into his seventies, Frederick Kúmókụn Haastrup became the Owá Obokun of Ijeṣaland and took the title Ajimọkọ I (derived from his nickname: 'Ajimọkọ bi Oyinbo'), though he was the first Christian Ọba of Yoruba land. He died on September 1, 1901.

    *DATE: FRIDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER 2024*

    *THEME: PRAYERS FOR LEADERS*

    MEMORISE:
    “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.”
    Psalm 2:10

    READ: 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)

    1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

    2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

    3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

    4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

    PRAYERS:
    1 Father, I thank you for all the leaders in my family, church, state, country, and in every other place. Thank you for their lives, their families, and their well-being.

    2 Father, I pray for wisdom for my leaders. Please, let none of them lead us in the wrong direction. Give them the wisdom to know what to do at all times, in Jesus’ Name.

    3 Father, please let it be well with our leaders. Take care of all their personal needs so that they will have peace of mind to lead us aright, in Jesus’ Name.

    4 Father, please provide all the resources that our leaders need to achieve the goals set ahead of them, in Jesus’ Name.

    5 Father, please give our leaders the strength to overcome every obstacle that may stand in the way of the glorious future they are leading us to. Help them to surmount any challenge that confronts them, in Jesus’ Name.

    6 Father, please let our leaders have a compassionate heart towards their followers. Let none of them use their position to exploit or oppress their followers, in Jesus’ Name.

    7 Father, please don’t let any of our leaders offend you and do things that will bring judgement upon themselves and their followers. Please help them to do your will at all times, in Jesus’ Name.

    8 Father, please remove any leader that refuses to do your will. Just as you replaced Saul with David, replace them with people that will do your will, in Jesus’ Name.

    9 Father, please let our leaders be good examples to us. Let their conduct and personality set good standards for us to live by, in Jesus’ Name.

    10 Father, please let there be unity and peace amongst all our leaders. Let them be united, and give them the wisdom to relate with each other peaceably, in Jesus’ Name.

    11 Father, please raise righteous leaders to occupy leadership positions so that the people can rejoice, in Jesus’ Name.

    12 Your personal prayer point for your leaders.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 41-43

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

    HYMN 22 - SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER! SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER!

    1 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
    that calls me from a world of care,
    and bids me at my Father's throne
    make all my wants and wishes known.
    In seasons of distress and grief,
    my soul has often found relief,
    and oft escaped the tempter's snare
    by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

    2 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
    the joys I feel, the bliss I share
    of those whose anxious spirits burn
    with strong desires for thy return!
    With such I hasten to the place
    where God my Savior shows his face,
    and gladly take my station there,
    and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

    3 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
    thy wings shall my petition bear
    to him whose truth and faithfulness
    engage the waiting soul to bless.
    And since he bids me seek his face,
    believe his word, and trust his grace,
    I'll cast on him my every care,
    and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

    TOPIC: CREATED FOR HIM

    MEMORISE: “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” - (Colossians 1:16)

    READ: EPHESIANS 2:1-10 (KJV)
    1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
    2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
    3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
    4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
    5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
    6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
    7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
    8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
    9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
    10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

    MESSAGE:
    No matter how long you spend on earth, you will never see a tree that eats its own fruit. Trees are planted by human beings for their pleasure, not for the pleasure of the trees. In the same way, God made you for His own pleasure. You were not made to satisfy yourself, you were made to satisfy Him. Therefore, when people live their lives just to give themselves pleasure, they are malfunctioning.

    Having lots of money, driving good cars and owning houses does not mean that someone has fulfilled his or her destiny because all those things are for the fellow’s pleasure. Destiny is not measured by how much money you have or how powerful you become; it is measured by the degree to which you are doing the will of God for your life. For example, someone might have seen Joseph as the Prime Minister of Egypt and said, “This guy has made it! He is fulfilling destiny because of the exalted position that he has attained,” but if Joseph did not save his family from the famine as God had created him to do (Genesis 45:1-11), he would have been a failure. There will be many rich people who will finish their races here on earth, and rather than them being told, “Well done thou good and faithful servant,” they will hear, “Thou wicked and slothful servant.” I pray this will not be your portion, in Jesus’ name.

    Beloved, it is good to be rich, famous, and powerful, but even when those things come, you will still not be fulfilled unless you do the will of God. Don’t chase shadows; chase God’s calling for your life. It seemed foolish when I left lecturing to pastor a small church. However, because that was the will of God for my life, it was the best decision I ever made. In fulfilling His will, God gave me all that I could ever ask for and more.

    A tree that bears fruits for its owner to eat will be taken care of. The owner will give it all the nutrients and care that it needs to flourish. When you pursue God’s will for your life, He will ensure that you never lack any good thing. Ask Him what His purpose for your life is and pursue it.

    KEY POINT:
    Pursue God's purpose for your life.

    HYMNAL 7 - I AM THINE O LORD

    1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
    And it told Thy love to me;
    But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
    And be closer drawn to Thee.

    Refrain:
    Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To the cross where Thou hast died;
    Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.

    2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
    By the pow’r of grace divine;
    Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
    And my will be lost in Thine. [Refrain]

    3 Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
    That before Thy throne I spend,
    When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
    I commune as friend with friend! [Refrain]

    4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
    Till I cross the narrow sea;
    There are heights of joy that I may not reach

MESSAGE: No matter how long you spend on earth, you will never see a tree that eats its own fruit. KEY POINT: Pursue God's purpose for your life. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 39-40 AUTHOR: PASTOR E A ADEBOYE HYMNAL 7 - I AM THINE O LORD 1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith, And be closer drawn to Thee. Refrain: Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died; Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side. 2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the pow’r of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine. [Refrain] 3 Oh, the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God, I commune as friend with friend! [Refrain] 4 There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reach Till I rest in peace with Thee. [Refrain]

  • FULFILLING GOD'S PURPOSE IV

    And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them
    up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

    The Bible declared the father as the head of the home – head of the mother and the children. As such, fathers have complete authority within the household to direct the affairs of the family, and to administer discipline when necessary. However, Apostle Paul admonishes that fathers should handle authority over their children with care; they are to be careful not to provoke their children to wrath. Some fathers are guilty of using their authority unreasonably in ways that cause their children to harbour resentment. However, fathers have the responsibility to bring their children up in the way of the Lord. In many cultures today, parents have submitted and completely relinquished their God given responsibility to raise godly children to school teachers, Sunday schools teachers, pastors, or governmental institutions. Every Christian parent should know that God will hold them responsible for the success or failure of their wards. Children are God’s heritage, we have an awesome responsibility and authority over them, we are responsible for them before God, and we will surely render our account to God over them.

    Are there any particular reason(s) why parents, particularly fathers, are called by God to play such a crucial, God ordained role in the unbringing or discipleship of their children?  Ephesians 6:1-4 given us a clue.

    “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”.

    God knows that from childhood, little children gradually learn to love and trust their parents because of the relationship they have. Children normally grow up to receive love and care from their parents in the form of feeding, clothing, washing, and protection from cold and other harmful circumstances. Therefore children naturally gravitate towards their parents. For the same reasons, children are more likely to learn the ways and manners of their parents by default. Most children would choose to learn from their parents because parents are the first heroes’ children. God in His wisdom is fully aware of these factors; He therefore designed the family to take advantage of the opportunity provided by nature.

    The Bible provides a very good balance here; children are to obey their parents, while parents are to treat their children with respect so that they will obey them without coercion. God expects children to obey their parents for Christ’s sake, even if their parents are not believers. Also, children should not commit any sinful act just because their parents command them to. When faced with a choice between the two, children must obey God rather then man.

    Father, please make me a successful parent; don't let me fail You over my children.

  • *OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

    *DATE: FRIDAY JULY 26TH 2024*

    *THEME: GOOD FOLLOWERSHIP II*

    *MEMORISE:*
    *But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down off the sun. Exodus 17:12*

    *READ: Exodus 17:8-13 (KJV)*

    8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

    9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

    10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

    11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

    12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

    13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

    *MESSAGE*

    Yesterday, I said that being submissive to a leader and seeking common interests above personal interests are attributes of a good follower. Today, I will discuss more attributes of a good follower.

    Leaders are not omnipotent; they need help sometimes. Good followers recognize that their leader needs help and seek to provide it before the leader asks for it. They watch to see which areas they can support the leader in and provide the support as needed.

    In today's Bible reading, Moses did not ask for Aaron and Hur's help. He did not even explain why he was stretching his hands towards the battlefront. They both saw him stretching his hands and noticed that they were winning as he did so. They also noticed that his hands were getting tired, so they went to him, gave him a stone to sit on, and held up his hands. That is good followership, the kind that will make a leader surmount any mountain that stands in his or her way.

    Sometimes, supporting your leader will not be convenient. When Aaron and Hur helped Moses, they were not sitting down, neither was anyone helping to hold their own hands up. They must have gotten tired too, but they stayed like that until the battle was over. Sometimes, when you step in to help your leader's weakness, others might laugh at you and even call you names. However, you must not fail your leader; you must take whatever comes with helping out.

    It is a terrible thing when followers take advantage of their leader's weaknesses. Some followers, because their leader doesn't know how to keep track of money, start stealing from the accounts instead of helping to manage them. Some others tell people about their leaders' weaknesses to discredit them. If there is someone in the Bible that every follower should study, it is David. Even though he had already been anointed as the next king of Israel in 1 Samuel 16:13 and had done many exploits (1 Samuel 17:48-51, 1 Samuel 18:5-7), even though he had seen Saul's weaknesses (1 Samuel 16:23), he remained loyal and never discredited the king. While running for his life because Saul was trying to kill him, he got the opportunity to kill Saul but didn't do it (1 Samuel 24:4-13) - that is a good follower! As a result, he not only fulfilled his destiny, but the King of kings, who is also called the Son of David, came from his lineage (Revelation 22:16).

    *KEY POINT*
    Never try to take advantage of your leaders' weaknesses. Help them instead.

    *HYMN 4: TO THE WORK, TO THE WORK*

    1. To the work! to the work! we are servants of God,
    Let us follow the path that our Master has trod;
    With the balm of His counsel our strength to renew,
    Let us do with our might what our hands find to do.

    *Refrain:*
    Toiling on, toiling on,
    Toiling on, toiling on:
    Let us hope, let us watch,
    And labor till the Master comes.

    2. To the work! to the work! let the hungry be fed;
    To the fountain of life let the weary be led;
    In the cross and its banner our glory shall be,
    While we herald the tidings, "Salvation is free!"

    3. To the work! to the work! there is labor for all;
    For the kingdom of darkness and error shall fall;
    And the name of Jehovah exalted shall be,
    In the loud-swelling chorus, "Salvation is free!"

    4. To the work! to the work! in the strength of the Lord,
    And a robe and a crown shall our labor reward;
    When the home of the faithful our dwelling shall be,
    And we shout with the ransomed, "Salvation is free!"

  • Hello all,

    Today, we celebrate a milestone in Itakun's journey as a social media platform. Exactly one year ago, we debuted online, and three months later, we officially launched on October 1st, 2023. Our vision was conceived two years prior, and we've since grown organically, testing our strengths and capacities.

    As we begin to explore inorganic growth, we're committed to strategic planning and execution, aware that thorough foundations are crucial to success. We're building a business that will transcend generations, learning from others' failures.

    We also officially launched our crowdfunding campaign today, marking the first phase of our fundraising journey however strictly with families, friends and close acquaintances.

    I'm thrilled to say that Itakun has surpassed our expectations and stands out as our most successful project to date, among the Cowrium Mad-O initiatives. While I may have a personal bias (towards itakun) as co-leader of both organizations, I believe our dedication and hard work on this project have made it truly shine. We poured our hearts into Itakun, and it shows!

    #Itakun has evolved from a beacon of traditional family values to a robust digital ecosystem, soon to offer a public email service, AI-powered messaging, and more. We're pioneering industry-first features, integrating Blockchain and AI technologies for a distinctive user experience. We are also looking into the area of infrastructure beyond the cloud in our future endeavor. For us - Impossibility is Nothing.

    Join us in celebrating this digital revolution. Rejoice with us as we shape the future of social interaction.
