With the pronouncement by Taiwo Oyedele on the new tax policy, he is set to become one of the most hated Nigerian. With this pronouncement, FIRS would become the sole collector of taxes in Nigeria, eliminating over 62 MDAs previously involved in tax collection.

He is on course (with the leadership of PBAT) to dismantle one of the worst pillars of corruption crippling this country. Remember, PBAT gave them 18% to GDP mandate. The jobs in these agencies will no longer be juicy, and it will bring a drastic reduction in job racketeering. It is expected that these MDAs will focus on quality service delivery as per their mandate.
