    1. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
    Heir of salvation, purchase of God;
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

    Chorus:
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Saviour all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Saviour all the day long.

    2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
    Vision of rapture now burst on my sight;
    Angel descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

    3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest
    Watching and waiting, looking above
Fill'd with His goodness, lost in His love.

    Amen.

  • THE WELL OF COMPASSION

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way (MATTHEW 15:32)

Many pastors took turns to minister to a condemned criminal. They preached to him in an attempt to win him to Christ. But the condemned man was unmoved by their "powerful" preaching. At last, a layman visited the man. He entered the death row cell, sat on the camp bed with him, took him by the hand and said, "We are in a bad fix, aren't we?" For that gesture, the condemned criminal broke into tears and shortly after, yielded to Christ. Compassion prevailed. The man was in need of somebody who would understand and care.

It is important to consider the attitude of Christ and His motivation for the miracle in our text. His statement in today's key verse is instructive. The people had had no regular meal through the three days they had been seeking Him in His solitude on the mountain. Christ's attitude just speaks volumes about our need to have compassion and empathy in our quest to win the unconverted to Christ.

We must learn to feel for people in their plight. Our compassion must be deep enough to compel helpful action. Love and kindness are cardinal ingredients in a Christian's makeup. Compassionate action is a language people understand faster than religious jargons. Observe also that the feeding of the people was not the goal of the occasion - the people had continued with Christ for three days feeding on God's word. We must go beyond the satisfaction of the people's physical and material needs to meeting their spiritual needs.

As you reflect on the response of Christ in today's text, think of what you can do to compassionately solve the spiritual and physical problems of people around you.

  • Exceedingly Abundantly

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.(Ephesians 3:2021, NKJV)

God wants to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ever ask, think or imagine. In another place in scripture, it says that no person has ever seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love the Lord. But notice that it’s “according to the power working in us.” God’s power works in us by our faith, how we believe. Do you believe that God wants to work in your life exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think? Do you believe He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness and blessing?

The Bible says that if we have faith the size of a tiny mustard seed, we can move mountains. And no matter how much faith we have, faith can grow in us as we hear, study and receive the Word of God.

Today, make God’s Word a priority. Believe that He will do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. He is faithful to His Word, and He will be faithful to fulfill every promise He’s made to you!

Father, thank You for Your goodness in my life. Thank You for blessing me and doing exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think. Thank You for increasing my faith as I focus on Your Word in Jesus name. Amen.

  • A Simple Message

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. John 15:9

The great Swiss theologian, Dr. Karl Barth, was probably in his generation the greatest theologian in the world, and a great philosopher as well. I did not always agree with him, but he was my friend and I respected him. While he was in this country, a student at one of the seminaries said, “Dr. Barth, what is the greatest truth that ever crossed your mind?” All the seminary students were sitting on the edge of their seats to hear some great, profound, deep, complicated answer. Dr. Barth slowly raised his great shaggy gray head and looked at the student and said, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

Lord Jesus, may I always keep the knowledge of Your love in true simplicity unencumbered by much learning. Thank You for loving me

  • COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE

Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season. Job 5:26

All-round security is of utmost importance to human beings. From a human viewpoint, the issue of security starts from concerns over the inner peace of an individual, to security issues within the family, and then to the safety of life and property in the larger society. In every society, people invest huge amounts of money on security and insurance, as a means of guaranteeing protection or safety. Some even invest in expensive offerings and sacrifices to appease the devil for protection and security. Yet, man has not been able to check the tide of natural disasters and tragedies of different categories for two major reasons.

    First, Revelation 12:12b says:

“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

The vicious anger of the devil is clearly seen in his determination to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). I decree that as the devil continues to unleash his wrath on the earth, you will be securely protected under the shadow of the Almighty in the Name of Jesus.

Secondly, security is of the Lord, the Omnipotent and Omniscient God, the Lord of hosts himself. That is why Psalm 127:1 says:

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”

All power belongs to God, and He has deployed His power to watch over his people. God is ever ready and nothing can escape His notice or happen with His knowledge (Psalm 121:4). God’s promises regarding security and insurance are so vast that they cover virtually every area of life (Psalm 121:8). Besides protection against natural disasters, weapons of your enemies and plans of the devil, God’s promises on security also guarantee longevity for your life (psalm 91:10-11). This season, the Lord will keep your soul, and every plan of your enemies shall be frustrated in Jesus’ Name.

The Lord will satisfy you with long life and you will not die before your time. However, you must meet with certain conditions in order to claim these wonderful promises for your life. You must first be born-again; this puts you on the same side with God (John 3:3). You must continually dwell under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). Also, you must love Him above every other thing and obey Him completely in all things.

Father, please let Your wonderful promises of peace and security be fulfilled in my life.

  • I'm not a huge fan of the United States, but I'm unequivocally intrigued by their politics. The last time I was actively invested in their politics was during George W. Bush's era. I monitored his re-election closely throughout the day. Since then, nothing has interested me as much as their presidential inaugurations.

The inauguration ceremonies are always a testament to meticulous planning and flawless execution. The seamless transition of power, the carefully choreographed events, and the evident attention to detail created a sense of occasion and reinforced the importance of this democratic milestone.

From the logistical precision of crowd control and security measures to the poignant selection of musical performances and speeches, the entire event demonstrated a high level of professionalism and a commitment to showcasing the best of the nation.

This level of care and consideration not only added to the solemnity of the occasion but also served to inspire confidence in the new administration and the enduring strength of democratic institutions.

One day, my beloved country, Nigeria, will soon start witnessing such momentous occasional delivery. By the grace of God, we will witness this in our lifetime. In the meantime, let's enjoy the new era with the new President and Vice President of the United States of America - Donald J Trump and J.D. Vance.
