• Restoration Is Nigh

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come (Psalm 102:13)

An English songwriter, George Asaf, once wrote, “What’s the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile, so pack up your troubles in your old kitbag and smile, smile, smile”. This song stresses the need to be undaunted during distress and trouble and demonstrate positive attitude of courage and hope.

Our text has relevant interpretation for those who are passing through problems today; that reliance on God will bring restoration of whatever has been lost or damaged. Though the Psalmist realized the undesirable state of Jerusalem and even foresaw its future devastation, he was hopeful that one day there would be restoration of Zion into its former glory and of its attaining a more desirable state. Rather than succumb to melancholy, he resorted to prayer and positive confession.

To find oneself in an undesirable situation is not new in life. Yet, our attitude at such times is what matters most. The Psalmist confessed that there would be restoration for Zion as God would favour her. He knew that the wall of Jerusalem would be broken down, the city would be devastated by the enemy and people of the land taken into captivity. In spite of these, he was hopeful that the time of restoration shall come.

God understands what you are passing through this time. Never allow worry a place in your heart. It may appear there is no job today; job will come tomorrow. You may have married and no children yet. Remember it is God who gives children, and in Him you must trust. Whatever the challenges you are facing, why not cast your burden upon Jesus so that there will be restoration? Nothing pertaining to us is hidden from God. Therefore, cheer up and expect restoration, for it will certainly come for those who trust in God.

  • A Free Entertainment Hub

In today’s streaming era, Pikashow has emerged as a popular choice for people seeking free access to movies, TV shows, and live TV. Designed primarily for Android devices, Pikashow offers a wide range of entertainment content, including Hollywood blockbusters, Bollywood hits, international web series, live sports, and even news channels.

One of Pikashow’s standout features is its extensive library, which aggregates content from premium platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ without requiring a subscription. Additionally, users can stream live TV channels and download content for offline viewing. The app provides flexibility in streaming quality, from 240p to 1080p, catering to different internet speeds and data plans.

Despite its popularity, Pikashow operates in a legally gray area, as it streams copyrighted content without proper authorization. This raises ethical and legal concerns for users. Additionally, the app may expose users to ads and potential security risks, making it essential to exercise caution while using it.

While Pikashow is free and convenient, there are legal alternatives such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar. These platforms offer high-quality content, support content creators, and ensure a secure viewing experience.

Pikashow’s appeal lies in its cost-free model and vast content library, but users must weigh the risks against its convenience. For those seeking a sustainable and ethical entertainment experience, investing in legal streaming platforms remains the better choice.

  • MISSION DISCOVERED

And David said, what have I now done? Is there not a cause? 1st Samuel 17:29

In today’s Bible reading, we see what seems to be a subtle undertone in Eliab’s unprovoked anger against David. Let’s take a closer look at what was actually going on. David happened on the battle scene by accident, because he was only there on an errand to deliver his father’s message to his brothers and the captain of their unit. It is therefore interesting that David was able to identify his mission in the midst of an affair which appeared to be none of his business. He found his purpose in a remote and indirect call to duty. This is a very good example of how the purpose of God becomes manifest in a person’s life. Despite the fact that Eliab railed accusations of pride and naughtiness of heart against David, he did not deny them or defend himself; he only asked his rhetorical question: “Is there not a cause?” A cause is a very important element of purpose, which usually develops into a passion for an objective, making it worth dying for. David so quickly reached the conclusion that confronting Goliath was a cause he was prepared to die for (1st Samuel 17:32).

Looking at the sequence of events in this story, I have a feeling that David was acting under the influence of a power that was far beyond his control. I sincerely believe that he was very conscious of this fact, and he yield himself to the control of the awesome power of God. The power that moved Samson to tear up a lion with his bare hand. I pray that you will receive that power now in the Name of Jesus. David did not only discover his assignment, he also quickly identified with the One who predetermined the whole process. Let’s consider a few of the steps taken by David. First of all, He ignored and discarded all forms of discouragement that came his way through his brother, Eliab, and through King Saul (1st Samuel 17:28 & 33). In addition, he testified and boasted in the Lord of all the wonderful things God had accomplished in his life (1st Samuel 17:34-37). Furthermore, being sure of God’s support, he refused to rely on human technology (1st Samuel 17:39). Beyond all this, he went ahead to identify with God by presenting himself as an emissary of the Lord of hosts. 1st Samuel 17:45 says:

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel. Whom thou hast defied.”

Are you pursuing a cause? Are you a man or a woman with a purpose? If you are ready to identify with the Lord of hosts and employ the same strategy David used, success will be yours.

Father, I dont want to wander through life without a mission; guide me to the cause in life which You have created and equipped me for, in Jesus Name.

  • Every Day is a Gift

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12, NIV)

Sometimes, our days can be so full and busy that we forget how fragile life really is. It can be easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our peace and joy. Maybe something doesn’t go your way, or someone says something upsetting. Even traffic can cause us to lose focus if we let it. We have to remember that each day is a gift. If we choose to focus on what’s wrong, we’ll miss the beauty that each day has to offer.

I encourage you today to not let the precious moments of life pass you by. Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you care. Remember, each day is unique and irreplaceable. You have been given time that can be invested or wasted, hours that can be used or misused. That’s why the psalmist prayed to God, "Teach us to number our days." He was saying, “Teach us to value every moment that we’ve been given.” As you daily keep a proper perspective, you’ll gain a heart of wisdom and experience the full blessing that He has for you each and every day!

Father, thank You for the gift of today. I choose to focus on the blessing of each moment instead of allowing the little things to steal my joy. Keep me close to You always as I submit every area of my heart and mind to You in Jesus name. Amen.

  • He is Coming Back

Keep a sharp lookout! For you do not know when I will come... Watch for my return!
    - Mark 13:35,36 (TLB)

The great Dwight L. Moody used to say, “I never preached a sermon without thinking that possibly the Lord may come before I preach another.” Dr. G. Campbell Morgan, the distinguished British clergy-man, said, “I never begin my work in the morning without thinking that perhaps he may interrupt my work and begin His own. I am not looking for death. I am looking for Him.” That is the way a Christian should live his life – in the constant anticipation of the return of Jesus Christ! If we could live every day as though it may be the very last one before the final judgment, what a difference it would make here on earth! But we don’t like to think that way. We don’t like to think that our carefully made plans, our long range schemes may be interrupted by the trumpet of God. Too many people would rather say, “Oh, well, the end of the world hasn’t come yet, so why think about it – it’s probably a thousand years away.”

  • Exceedingly Abundantly

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.(Ephesians 3:2021, NKJV)

God wants to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ever ask, think or imagine. In another place in scripture, it says that no person has ever seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love the Lord. But notice that it’s “according to the power working in us.” God’s power works in us by our faith, how we believe. Do you believe that God wants to work in your life exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think? Do you believe He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness and blessing?

The Bible says that if we have faith the size of a tiny mustard seed, we can move mountains. And no matter how much faith we have, faith can grow in us as we hear, study and receive the Word of God.

Today, make God’s Word a priority. Believe that He will do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. He is faithful to His Word, and He will be faithful to fulfill every promise He’s made to you!
